Peer Pressure is said to be a slow poison. It slowly destroys inner confidence, strength, mind and health of-course. But do you think, you should let this happen on yourself or your children?
No, of-course. We had lately talked about many issues on this topic but it is the time to now discuss impact of peer pressure on health.
You are a person who just entered a college, joined an office or just moved to new place. You have to adopt to new environment. But not only new environment, many changes are likely to occur.
What are they?
You see this new bunch of people who lives, talks, hangout and follow fashion in a different way. You are way different from them. Obviously, now to mix up in, you will likely to become one of them. Here starts Peer Pressure to "fit in".
But this pressure doesn't seem so easy as it looks. It slowly plays with your mind, it will let you do such things which might not be good for your age, your body. It can be indulging into smoking, drugs, early unprotected sex, drinking alcohol, etc. All these things will slowly harm your health. STD s, damaged lungs, liver, or maybe cancer, say it you can have it. Also, the pressure on your mind can lead you into depression. It can harm you as well. You might become suicidal one day.
The list is long. But solution is one.
The process to start loving yourself, accepting yourself, love what you have, follow the positive side of life and follow a goal. Work Hard, talk to someone about what you are suffering from. This might at least help from getting second opinion. Remember you are one of a kind. In case of any problem, go to hospital, consult a doctor. Fight for yourself but don't give up.
